- We can run a tailor made training course for you to learn how to build your own cob house
- We can do a combination of the above. Where perhaps we do the more technical parts like the foundations, the roof and help you to build the walls. Then you can add your own personalised features
What is Cob?
Cob is a mixture of clay, sand, straw and water. For thousands of years it has been used as a strong, enduring, eco-friendly, replenishable and versatile building material. Old cob houses scattered throughout East Anglia, especially Norfolk and Suffolk, are still standing strong.
Edwards Eco Building is continuing this traditional and beautiful method of construction with a contemporary twist (see our projects gallery). As they say, it's the old ideas that are the best!
